2008 promises to see a continuation in minimalist bathroom designs, with wall-hung furniture and back-to-wall Sanitary ware making bold statements.


oak wenge, ash and beech finishes offer the most popular choices in color ranges, but when using dark colours with furniture be sure to go for light-colored walls and bright white sanitary ware. Many are coming back from their holidays and when remodeling their bathroom are opting for a more simple shower design. The walk-in shower, as well as being practical, can also be particularly stylish. Simple glass panels on a tiled floor can give the showering area a smart minimalist look. Inside the showering are chrome fixings are the most luxurious option, with shower heads and valves available in many styles, both traditional and contemporary.

If looking for the ultimate in showering luxury, steam/shower cabins have never been so affordable. Once exclusive only to health clubs, spas and gyms, such items are now as popular in the bathroom. To be able to sit down and be sprayed by numerous body and head jets whilst having your feet massaged is enough to keep you in there for hours.


Corner baths became fashionable a number of years ago, then the popularity fazed out somewhat, but with the edition of hydrotherapy whirlpools these space saving bathtubs are promising to make a comeback in 2008. The idea of having a jacuzzi in the bathroom is another big pull for bathroom remodeling projects. As well as the corner tub and off-set corner spa system, the drop-in tub is a great way to make a statement. Or alternatively a standard sized bath can easily be transformed into a spa system with the easy addition of a jet system.

All in all 2008 onwards is an exciting time for bathroom designs. With the competition within the manufacturing industry to deliver the most up to date products, retail prices are constantly being driven down. For the consumer this is great news, as luxury bathrooms have never been so affordable.
